5th Grade Boy Won't Stand for Pledge Until Gays Get Equal Rights

A fifth grade boy in Arkansas has chosen not to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance until gays have the same "liberty and justice" that all American citizens enjoy. Because of his "stand," Will Phillips says he now faces continued verbal abuse by other kids in his school. Here's the CNN interview:

    What, no baloon?

    Brave kid, I guess, but really? What about all the native peoples, immigrants, and the poor?

    I mean calling out the pledge on gay rights seems a bit weak by comparison.

    Hell, what about all the people not suffering from the God delusion?
