Iconic comic book hero Wonder Woman is heading back to the small screen. A live-action TV series based on the comic book hero is reportedly in the works.

According to, David E. Kelley, the mastermind behind Alley McBeal and Boston Legal, has been hired to write and produce the new series for Warner Bros.

No word on whether the new interpretation of the butt-kicking hero will remain faithful to the original TV series, starring Lynda Carter. Or, most importantly, who they’ve got in mind to slip into those famous red booties.

There’s also been talk of a Wonder Woman movie for many years, with Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse) attached to the project for a while. He’s since dropped out, but the project is reportedly still in development.
