Should the U.S. Use Military Force Against Iran?

Once a distant, mysterious land, the U.S. has become intensely embroiled in Middle Eastern politics. While simultaneously waging campaigns in both Afghanistan and Iraq, America has turned a wary eye to Iran and its alleged nuclear weapons. With the lives of potentially thousands of soldiers and citizens at stake in both countries, should the U.S. take direct military action against Iran?

We Must Create the Condition for Iranians to Win Their Own Future

Heritage Foundation

No question, the regime in Iran is evil. They use terrorism as instrument of foreign policy. They sow discord and war among their neighbors. The regime does not, however, reflect the people of Iran. The Iranian population is young, pro-Western and increasingly secular. They want change. War is an instrument of last resort. While the US should leave no doubt it will defend itself and it allies, for now it should look to measures short of war, to help, as we did for the people of Eastern Europe during the Cold War, create the conditions for Iranians to win their own future.
