Should the U.S. Immediately Begin Withdrawal from Iraq?

The reasons for invading Iraq in 2003 have been debated and analyzed in full. But no matter what conclusions you've made, the U.S. is now left with a serious situation that deserves careful attention. We must determine how long -- or even if -- the military stays. Is it time to start bringing troops home or is more time needed to complete our goals?

There Are No Military Solutions To Many World Issues

Dr. David Bukay

There are no military solutions to many of world issues. And Iraq is one of them. However, this is a very narrow perspective. The issue is politics, religion and geopolitics. The broader perspective is what will happen in the Middle East? What are the ramifications of running away? Israel has run away from Lebanon, and what happened? Did Hizbullah disappeared? Has Lebanon become a quiet stabilized state? Was there a quiet Israeli-Lebanese border? And there are many other hard questions to rise. Women's organizations in Israel who have stimulated Israel's run away from Lebanon now understand their faults – threatening the security of Israel, and causing the Second Lebanon War, in June 2006. Running away is not an option – when there is a politically a determined and un-deterred aggressor.
