Is Spanking an Acceptable Form of Discipline?

You have probably heard the expression, "Spare the rod, spoil the child." Do you agree with it? Perhaps you were spanked as a kid. Was it appropriate? Rosemond Refutes Four Decades of Research

Center for Effective Discipline

John Rosemond refutes four decades of research showing harmfulness of corporal punishment. His authority is apparently his own experiences and his reading of the Bible. He demeans a premier researcher known throughout the world, Dr. Murray Straus of the New Hampshire Family Research Laboratory, whose research has stood the test of peer review and publication in prestigious journals, by calling him “ersatz.” If Rosemond wants to refute, he should do it with facts, not demeaning names.
