Should Colleges Consider SAT/ACT Scores?

Trembling hands, flying graphite, nervous sweat. Anyone who's taken a standardized test recognizes those symptoms instantly. Millions of students take the SAT and ACT tests each year in hopes of earning admission to their dream college, but a growing movement insists these standardized tests are an unfair and inaccurate measure of academic worth. Should colleges continue to consider these tests when determining their future alumni?

All A's and C's are not created equal.  It's obvious that some schools will offer grades for much less work than other schools, even within a similar geographic area.

However, the current tests (ACT and SAT) are terrible indicators of academic success compared to the grades!  If the grades alone are already predictive of college grades, why add in a flawed predictor in an attempt to clarify.

We've already standardized upper-division classes through the AP and IB system.  Let's rely on those institutions rather than the flawed and all too coachable ACT and SAT.
