Does Acupuncture Work?

Do you suffer from chronic pain? Maybe acupuncture is just what the doctor ordered. Millions of people say that acupuncture has alleviated their suffering and boosted their bodies, but others insist that it's more rooted in belief than scientific fact. Animal Studies Demonstrate Measurable Changes

Bill Reddy

American Association of Acupuncture...

Do the animals in these studies feel "good" about acupuncture or the acupuncturist treating them?

Do they have nice music in the background and candles burning during the experiments to relax the animals?

In the study report entitled "Treatment of intractable dry eyes: tear secretion increase and morphological changes of the lacrimal gland of rabbit after acupuncture", the result was a 60% improvement in aqueous tear production.

In yet another study, entitled "Study of the acupuncture effect on monoamine transmitters in rabbit plasma and brain tissue by high performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection" it demonstrates changes in neurotransmitters of rabbits undergoing acupuncture leading to greater rates of fertility.
