Hidden Agenda
Well said.
I may be only 33, but I can see this plain as the nose on your face.
Republicans gain political power from the working class and the independently wealthy. They know that to keep their political power, they should seek to keep the rich rich.
Democrats gain power from the naive young, the poor, and the dependently wealthy. They know that to keep their political power, they should seek to keep the dependent and poor, poor and dependent.

Greed - a deadly sin
I don't know what part of the country you live in, but I don't believe I've met a human being so far in my life who wouldn't like to be richer - so if you are correct about the republican agenda - then that should make everyone happy. Only when the rich get richer - do they trickle some of it down to the rest of us. If I am going to be used as a pawn or a puppet in the "G" man's hands or have to pick which of the two evils I want to support - I'd much rather have.....
1.sense of work ethics
2.morality
3.Hope for achievement.....
instilled in me instead of a lazy "what can the government do for me" attitude or not even have the opportunity to succeed at anything. So if it's all the same to you - I'll stick with the republicans.

Either way, we'll get by.
Like you, I'd rather get by using my back and my mind as opposed to two outstretched hands and a bent knee.
