    They're partially right.

    Firearms are tools, just the same as shovels, knives, and phones. Jesus was a pacifist, but unfortunately criminals today aren't, and if we as law -abiding citizens don't want to be victimized then we have to protect ourselves.

    “It is an embarrassment to people of faith that pray for peace and non-violence to have gun proponents use a house of worship to encourage the ownership and defend the use of weapons."

    Our rights to defend our lives don't magically end when we enter a restaurant, or a church , or a post office.

    Why do people have such a problem with other people being able to defend themselves? I would really love to know.
