    Sweet

When push comes to shove, blame everything on the brown people and the gays.

    That's constructive.

      obviously!

If they were supposed to be here they would have been born here... and born white... and straight... and baptist...

In all seriousness, when times become difficult it is all to common for people to turn on 'outsiders', blaming them for the difficulties faced.

I have relatives that are hispanic and love them.

I would venture to say I even have a homosexual relative somewhere down the line as well, black sheep, we all have them. I was raised around mexicans most of my life and they are lovely people. God made them too. He did not make homosexuals, depraved minds made that.

some of my best friends are minorities

Yet you are happy to decry illegal immigration as a ‘symptom’ of a larger ‘moral decay’ within California?

“I would venture to say I even have a homosexual relative somewhere down the line as well, black sheep, we all have them.”

          Statistically speaking that is correct

“He did not make homosexuals, depraved minds made that.”

Yet God made those depraved minds in every detail… and with the complete foreknowledge that those minds would go on to create homosexuality … if you subscribe to the omnipotent / omniscient view of God.

You cant help it so let me help you

I said nothing about blaming the brown people, as you call them or homosexuals, as they are better known as for Californias plight. I said the ones to blame are the liberal Californians with secualar progressive agendas. And every decision in life has a reaction and California is getting their reactions now. And I say...'bout time.

        Ohhhh.....

Oh, I get it. So undocumented workers are NOT the problem, and gays are NOT the problem, just the gay-lovin', immigrant-lovin' liberal establishment. OK. Gays and brown folks are a-okay in your book, but not people who support their right to exist and make a living and be treated fairly in society . Gays and brown people are just fine, as long as you're free to discriminate against them and treat them like poo. Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

          On the head.

Thank you Babs. I think you nailed the doubletalking idiocracy to the "it's ok if I profit" cross. You were even polite about it.

          If they were gone.

I have wondered. What would happen if right before harvest, nobody came. How long would it take to solve the immigration problem if the crops were in the field and nobody came.

            Yup.

We do like our cheap lettuce and cherries and tomatoes, don't we? But be sure to kick 'em all out as soon as the salad course has been served.

I often wonder what I would do if my kids were starving and there was no work to be had here in Riverside County, but there were jobs galore down in San Diego, albeit, only for San Diegans. If the law said I couldn't drive a few miles down the road and get a job there in SD, but I knew if I snuck in and kept it quiet, I'd be able to feed my kids, would I sit and abide by the law and watch my kids slowly die of starvation, or would I cross the line and take the work and feed my family?

Well, I know what I would do. Maybe Angelmama would righteously watch her kids die and feel good about her decision. Maybe those who are so critical of "liberal do-gooders" would sit and watch kids suffer, and righteously condemn their parents for being born on the "wrong" side of an imaginary line on a map. I just know that I can't do that. I can't begrudge someone the chance to feed their kids. I can't imagine Jesus would, either.

              Jesus?

Most Christians lost sight of what Jesus said a long time ago.

                Fact.

Jesus was all about helping the poor and not excluding people whom society considered "outcast." He said zip about homosexuality, but a great deal about not judging others, about feeding the poor and about avoiding hypocrisy at all costs.

        You mean me???

Cool! You think I'm Mexican? I wish I could speak Spanish. Studied it for 7 years in Jr. High, High School and College, and I can usually get my point across, but that's about it. Oh the sorry, sad state of our educational system. But you're quite correct about the homo part. ;^) Bless your heart!
