    Sayin' don't make it so.

Whether Mr. Stith is sincere or not is beside the point. The article is filled with misinformation. Specifically:
    (1) Contrary to Stith's assertion, there is a growing body of reliable scientific evidence that homosexuality is genetically predetermined and that it correlates with a number of physiological markers, including differences between homo- and heterosexuals in brain function, perception, and cognition. Psychological studies indicate that homosexuals are unhappy primarily because of societal conflicts and prejudice, not because they dislike their own sexuality. And finally, the concept of "re-educating" homosexuals has been thoroughly debunked and rejected. No reputable psychologist supports this kind of nonsense, which is based entirely on religious dogma. In fact, there are grounds to support the assertion that such attempts by medical personel constitute medical malpractice.
Homosexuality isn't sinful, but stupidity and superstition are!
