Are Generic Drugs as Effective as Name Brands?
Generic drugs work the majority of the time
Over the course of my lifetime, I've taken a fair amount of prescription drugs for different health issues. I agree they work just as well the vast majority of the time, with minor exceptions. I CAN tell you that during those times when I had no health insurance, GENERIC DRUGS WERE A LIFESAVER! I'll give you some examples of the efficacy of RX drugs I've taken. My review is subjective, and doesn't account for things like degradation due to improper storage, etc. (excuse the format, they odn't allow text separation)
Prilosec v. Omeprazole = Brand name Prilosec wins this hands down. I had to take double the generic for the same results. Percocet v. Oxycodone = same relief. Ritalin v. Methylphenidate = same efficacy. Valium v. Diazepam = same efficacy.
