    Did I miss the punchline?

This was promising to be a pretty good joke, but I didn't get it. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

Since when do criminals buy their guns in gun stores? Once again, the Brady Campaign To Completely Disarm Law-Abiding American Citizens scores. This is going to stop the trafficking of illegal firearms in exactly the same way that the war on drugs has stopped the trafficking of illegal drugs.

This is akin to filling out that stupid form every time you buy a legal , over the counter drug to combat nasal congestion because it contains sudafed. And heaven forbid you should need another box and have to buy another one this week.

The one good thing that can come from this is that when the Brady Bunch sees that this measure in no way leads to a decrease in the number of guns on the streets of New Jersey or reduction in gun-related crime , they will without a doubt stop trying to get similar laws passed elsewhere. Oh wait, there's already more than ample evidence that shows that all over. Dang. I guess there's no hope left for these people after all.

Oh well New Jersey. Next time you get mugged at gunpoint and have no way to defend yourself, make sure you call your representative and thank them for making you so much safer by ebbing the flow of guns into New Jersey; since they couldn't possibly be...oh, I don't know, driven in on the same trucks that are pouring drugs on to the streets.
