burninate the countryside

“my point is its pointless to burn books so if they want to let them, its not going to damage the supply of books for the rest of us.”

I’m not recommending stopping them, just stating that the idea of a book burning seems unsettlingly reminiscent of the Dark Ages… indicative of a barbaric mindset that would rather destroy ideas rather then debate them.

But then I love books, new ones with crisp pages smelling of printers ink to ones yellowing with age that smell of long days on dusty shelves.
