    As required

I wish people would quit wasting our time asking anyone in the ONDCP bureaucratic empire their thoughts on medical marijuana ,or even marijuana legalization . They are required to fight legalization of any schedule 1 drug,in any form and by any means necessary. And they will stand and look right at the camera and deny marijuana has any medical uses, even if they are taking marijuana for glaucoma while they are saying it,they have too.
And underlying their mandate requiring them too lie,is the fact that
when you ask them about marijuana being medicine ,any admission on their part means marijuana isn't schedule 1.
And asking them if marijuana should be legal is the same as asking them if they want to reduce their budget by 1/2.
As no other bureaucracy has voluntarily reduced their budget, they won't either. Thje only way they will quit fighting marijuana is for it to be moved from schedule 1,and they are fighting that as much as they can.
It will not be the Drug Czar who ends this insanity,it will have to come from the congress ,or the people. When states start legalizing marijuana for recreational use,it will bring this debate too a head and signal the end of the war on drugs . Or the government will run out of money building prisons ,go belly up and maybe our next effort at government will be based on science
    and evidence instead of business.
