Some public acceptance of a recent hissy fit by PETA and some other animal rights organizations over President Obama's swatting of a fly reveals a serious shortfall in recent American biology education . Across all animals , the fly Order Diptera (two-winged insects) contains by far the most serious vectors of human diseases worldwide. A Fly?

This is where the endangered species act has led us. You disregard human life for the life of a soon-to-be-extinct natural life form, you open up a huge can of worms that these same human lives have to deal with. Seriously. There's a man made drought in California all because people don't want nature to run its course, and naturally select a little minnow for extinction. The minnow's going extinct anyways. Making people suffer -- their livelihoods and farms -- over this reality that yes animals do go extinct is what is inhumane. You're making people suffer. Unless you're a commie, people are born with rights, and they have other legal rights, such as home and land ownership, and the right to make a living; those rights should supersede any animal rights . To creepy groups like PETA, animal rights come before human and American rights. To them, the mere words "natural resources" are seen as a violation of animal rights. Wait till someone proves that plants want to survive. PETA will lobby for lawn walking laws! Yes, your very own lawn. Might as well go all rock, since it's pretty clear they aren't living.
