Ronald Reagan was one of the most beloved presidents of his time. He didnt barely win an election , he won two landslides. One of which was a 49 state win. Why should this have anything to do with the GOP holding him up. He was well respected by the American people. If you ask me the only thing that would stop this is the fact that democrats are trying to bring Reagan down. They despise him and bring up all these figures about him increasing the defiect. I might drink Reagan's kook aid but he was liked by the American public and that is all that matters. Its not for the political parties to decide. This is not as controversial as everyone makes it, Reagan is like by the American people more than Grant and should have a right to be on paper money . To say that Grant is not a controversial president to have on a bill as well is also absurd since many a man was not favorable of Grant. I still prefer E Lee myself and do not view Grant as an incredibly successful president.

Was Grant democratic? And all the people who appointed this to legislation were Republicans! I don't understand whats up with that and are you guys democrats?

I think they should make a 25$ bill and put Raegan on it, just tossing around suggestions.

Here's a joke:

So you guys think Raegan should (or shouldn't) be on the 50.
Well...you want to know what Obama should be on?
A food stamp!
Haha.

Ronald Reagon spearheaded the ream of sockpuppet facemen we have enjoyed as president for most of my life. The fact that the mouth pieces of the GOP hold him up as a pragmatic leader or a fiscal conservative is a glaring indication of how grievous a wound Nixon was to the GOP and how asinine politico's can be making claims with their fingers behind their back.

Figured for inflation Reagon was one of the biggest Federal spenders ever, catalyzed the War on Drugs to its current WWI'esque attrition, and hypocritically raised taxes on everyone under the sun besides the cronies that kept him wound up.

Better we put Clinton on the $50. He's the last guy to balance a budget since Johnson.

there are things the government spends on that fail to be in the official " budget ". besides, what about the national debt? did clinton do anything about that? and, finally, you actually think that government is a solution? anything more than organized crime ?

Submariner's picture

Government is what we make it.

Clinton did something for the debt by not drasticly increasing it, but you are right - that's still a D- effort.

I believe in rule of law , making government infinitely superior to any form of crime .
