Just a few thoughts
Circles and spheres are common shapes in nature. that being said (and i think i speak for most people) I have never seen anything like that before in my life. If it was aliens creating this thing why no make it a square? that is definitely not a natural shape and would have a better effect on people than a circle.

RE: Just a few thoughts
Perhaps! Although The sphere as we know it to be a shape by nature is exactly what the 'aliens' are. What colony or species of alien, who knows. But Perhaps one species or ALL are creators of our Earth. A science experiment if you will. What it is they are trying to communicate, who knows..

Nature does some really cool things sometimes
Check out the hubble pictures of space and it too will amaze and astound you. I thought this photo was quite cool. Good job on person with good camera at right time and place!
Bible says there will be signs in the heavens. I think that it is possible that is one but whether or not it remains a true mystical and just slightly foreboding natural phenomenon.

It looks like
a collision of several fronts, likely one extremely cold from the arctic causing radial flow .... it's pretty easy to explain away using basic climatology and some tricks with the Navier-Stokes equations.
