Pop star Rihanna, a victim of one of the most public episodes of domestic violence in recent memory, now says she was wrong for going back to Chris Brown only two weeks after he brutally beat her in February, leaving her face bloody and battered.
In a yet-to-air interview with 20/20's Diane Sawyer, the pop star said she needed to "come out of the situation," examine her relationship and think about what kind of message it was sending to young women everywhere.
"I realized that my selfish decision for love could result into some young girl getting killed," she said. "I couldn't be held responsible for telling them, even if Chris never hit them again. Who's to say their boyfriends won't. I didn't realize how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives.
