Vaccines a Red Herring
Although vaccines such as the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) have been theorized to cause autism, research has failed to show any link. The MMR vaccine was proposed by Wakefield et al. in a 1998 Lancet article as a possible cause of autism. However, subsequent studies showed that autism rates went up while MMR vaccination rates remained the same and that the timing of autistic symptoms was the same in vaccinated and unvaccinated children. The majority of the authors of the Lancet study later retracted their findings. Furthermore, cases of measles in unvaccinated children have gone up after some parents have chosen to defer the MMR vaccine following publication of that Lancet article.

The real red herring in this argument is the statement that there is no epidemic. The medical community has nothing to offer that fits the timing and the geography of the epidemic to replace vaccines. They therefore throw out the red herring of "There is no epidemic". If there is no epidemic then, of course, vaccines did not cause an epidemic of autism.
Why is the medical and pharmacutical community so sure that these multi-level vaccines, suspended in solutions that have not been truly time tested, and given to younger and younger children; if this community is so sure that this isn't at the very least a significant contributer to the epidemic of Autism, what then have they determined is the cause, or at least a likily link? How much effort is being made by both the medical community, the drug companies, and the federal government to ensure that this trend stops? We already have tens of thousands of Autisic children (in the US alone) that may never be able to function as independant adults. How can our society allow this potentionally, if not likely, manmade epidemic to continue? - One father that cares.
Altho few suspected MMR as the source of autism, drug company hacks trumpet this failed theory to divert attention from thimerosal vaccines.
Autism rates rose 3-5 years after each thimerosal vaccine was added to children's vaccination schedule. The average time from exposure to diagnosis is 4.4 years.
The alleged increase in measles is irrelevant to autism, because the MMR vaccine never contained thimerosal.
Of course its possible that there is more than one cause of Autism. It was around before Vaccines contained the amount of Mercury they do. However, the increase in Autism in families without the genetic factors cannot be ignored. Keeping families in the dark regarding Mercury-laced vaccines is criminal and denying parents the chance to protect their children from a life-time of pain is criminal. While every single case of Autism may not be caused by Mercury Vaccines, many HAVE been and the parents of these children deserve to explore the options available to helping children who have been exposed to Heavy Metal Poisoning. I don't believe these particular children have Autism, I believe they have "Autistic-like" symptoms. I also believe it is completely preventable and there are options out there that can help beyond therapy and drugging.
