Should the U.S. Use Military Force Against Iran?

Once a distant, mysterious land, the U.S. has become intensely embroiled in Middle Eastern politics. While simultaneously waging campaigns in both Afghanistan and Iraq, America has turned a wary eye to Iran and its alleged nuclear weapons. With the lives of potentially thousands of soldiers and citizens at stake in both countries, should the U.S. take direct military action against Iran?

The US Must Aim at Toppling Down the Regime

Iran seeks to lead the Middle East system religiously and politically. It endangers world system with grave consequences to US interests, which symbolizes the march of fanatic Islam. The US must consider seriously using military force - not against Iran's nuclear sites, but aiming at toppling down the regime. Iran's internal surroundings permit us to believe it is possible.

Iran is “the biggest Satan”; the epitome of evil, in its ambitions to purchase nuclear weapons and rule over the Arab Middle East. It is now the imperial revisionist power aiming at controlling the Middle East system. If there is a belief that one can come to terms with Iran without nuclear weapons and without changing the balance of power in the region, it comes from a deep illusion and basically does not understand contemporary Iran. It is moved by deep religious beliefs and 1400 years of materialized frustrations. The purpose of Iran's revisionism is to be fulfilled and accomplished. Its leaders really do believe that they can do it – they can end the Sunni superiority and change the course of history by remaking and establishing the supreme justice – the Shiites (Shi`at `Ali) deserve the Islamic leadership; that they are entitled to lead Islam.

This is the reason that the US cannot come to terms with Iran. This leaves fighting back as the only alternative. The US must stop Iran’s onslaught doing all that is necessary to cut off Iran’s expansionist ambitions, bringing it to reality by effective military deterrence.
