Incubators?
They tried those before and they all failed. I would be happy to provide an extensive list of failed incubators. Why do you think a government run incubator would have even a remote chance of success? Let's take a failed business concept and throw government money at it. That will work.
You claim an excemption for small business capital gains but that is only for gains made by the small businesses. Investment in small businesses come from people who make more than 250K or for large VC firms. Maybe the business gets a small break on an investment but the business wouldn't have been funded in the first place under your tax plan. Even if you say (which you don;t) that the rich and large companies that invest in a start-up would be excempt, they still wouldn't have the money to invest in the first place.
Further more, Obama fails to accept the economic reality that lowering cap gains taxes actually produces more cap gains tax revenues depsite being confronted by facts on national TV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpSDBu35K-8
Obama's entire economic plan including taxes have less to do with economic realities and more to do with cowtailing to the less successful, making them feel like they got something out of those "horrible wealthy people or evil corporations."
I am a fierce independant and do not like Bush yet Fred Thompson summed up Obama's economic plan perfectly at the GOP convention: it will only affect businesses. It will have no effect on you unless you get a paycheck from a business or buy something from a business.
You think this plan promotes small business? Think again. It goes directly at the very people who help fund small businesses. AN dsmall businesses make money by selling to large businesses or buying supplies from large businesses. You don't think hitting the popckets of larger companies would affect small businesses? Really?
