Is There a God?

Is There a God?

The existence - or lack of - a God is one of humanity's fundamental questions. Since the first birth, the first sunrise, the first death, humans have sought to explain the world around them. The whole of human existence, in the end, comes down to this: Is there a God?

We want there to be a god, but in order for a god to be real, everything we know about science would have to be wrong. In order to convince us that everything we know about science is wrong, we need proof. Absent proof that matter and Energy can be created, there is no reason to doubt science in favor of a wish.

So we can stop there, at least for now. Even by the sheer definitions, without all the fancy euphemisms or the tear-inducing stories of god’s love, the simple concept gets dropped as “nonsense” as soon as you show you need to break the laws of physics and show no proof that it happened (or could ever happen). You essentially say “he did it with magic” – which also doesn’t exist, so there we are again.

Is there a god?  I’m afraid not. Too bad.
