According to a recent Pew Center study, there are an estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. Their futures, as well as the future of this nation, hang in the balance as Congress considers whether they should be able to achieve U.S. citizenship.

Political freedom and escape from tyranny demands that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders; however, the Libertarian Party does not support "open borders."
