how about the Fair Tax plan?
I truly respect John McCain, and their is no doubt in my mind that he is the far better choice. Obama's tax and spend mentality mixed with socialist and yes, racist tendancies scare me. So I know who I am voting for. But why is nobody, including McCain, speaking of the Fair Tax, when it may hold the key to our recovery? The Fair Tax, based on consumption, will distribute the burden of taxes fairly. It will incentize the payment of debt (tax free), the building of equity (invenstments will be tax free), the creation of jobs (again, tax free), will bring back jobs from overseas, will increase competition domestically and abroad for American-made goods, will eliminate loopholes and reduce the burden on this nation that is involved with the IRS. Though we would pay about 20-25% sales tax, the prices themselves are likely to drop by that much due to the removal of corporate taxes. This will grow the pie- err, economy. And the lower income braket will not pay taxes because the rebate to all tax payers will reimuburse all families to the minimum level of comfortable spending. This is the fairest, most effective and most powerful stimulus I have ever heard of. When will someone bring this to the table- at least for discussion?? I know congress won't, because they like the power the current tax system gives them. Please tell John McCain we need this. Joe the Plumber even brought it up.
