Citizen's Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Upwards of 1 million times annually, armed private citizens successfully defend themselves against criminal attack, usually without firing a shot. Criminals often run at the sight of a gun, and at other times they are defeated by their intended victims. Historian Clayton Cramer, for example, gathers reports of armed self-defense around the country that explode the myth that people are more likely to have their guns turned against them.
