A Fence Cannot be Built Without Undocumented Immigrant Labor.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau

found that foreign-born workers held one in five construction jobs in 2006; in Texas , where the fence

is being built, the percentage is unquestionably much higher. Perry Vaughn, the

executive director of the Rio Grande Valley Chapter of the Associated General

Contractors of America (AGC) admits that it

is “probably borderline impossible” to build the fence without immigrant labor.   Realistically, if the government tries to build

the wall without undocumented workers, Jerry Nevould, the president and CEO of

the Houston Chapter of the AGC surmises that “you could have some real

problems.” Ironically, the fence to keep undocumented immigrants out must be

built using undocumented immigrant labor.

It is true. Non Legal workers have destroyed the construction industry. As a carpenter I have seen it get to the point of the US giving specials sweetheart deals to Mexican owned companies. This makes me sick. Why should anyone get special deals? One company here in San Diego is owned by a green card holder and yet he gets points towards his bids on government work. Is this the one to build the fence?
American workers can build the fence and it would be built right.
